In order to reach those distant flats and trout laden canyons, a rugged burden is placed upon an anglers’ gear. Cortland Line

Since rebranding the company and introducing some of the strongest fluorocarbon on the market, the Cortland Line Company has become a trusted source of all our tippet, leader, and fly line material. The tippet proved to be a game changer in the 2018 Jackson Hole One Fly, where in previous years a choice needed to be made between either strength or stealth. With only a single fly for the entire day, and a river that changes character from swift banks of broken logs and root balls, to intimate side channels, the tippet selection had to cover both strength (in order to prevent break-offs and lost flies) and stealth (in order to get eats from late season wary trout). The Top Secret Fluorocarbon tippet from Cortland provided both of these attributes and kept us confident in our line strength as well as the ability to fool picky fish.
